Please note that like all Cytgord Cymru assemblies we operate in two states, which is referred to within the party as the "one foot in, one foot out doctrine". What this means is that we recognise that inherently we are both a Cytgord Cymru assembly and also not a Cytgord Cymru assembly: because participants who are not party members are allowed to participate, not everything we do is about the party.

That's by design. We think that's better. And more genuine. We hope you will too: because it means even if you don't support Cytgord Cymru, if you support us, you're still welcome to.

What We're Doing

While our current focus is on fundraising for Palestinian families in Gaza, we're extremely interested in widening the utility of "marching" in general. We feel that walking from Point A to Point B with rallies at either end could be so much more - there are so many people gathered in one place, why not do more?

Our starting point with the horrific ongoing genocide in Occupied Palestine - naturally enough - is with fundraising for families in Gaza.

What we're doing is really simple. We're going to be taking leaflets, like the one shown below, to marches and protests in the Cardiff area that we can reach. These leaflets were kindly designed for us by Nader from Radio Watermelon and we'll be getting more printed just as soon as we raise money to do it.

We aren't just handing them out - instead, they're visual aids for volunteers to use. Rather than trying to get 50 volunteers together off the bat, we just turn up as a few - and become many!

We only hand out leaflets to people who agree to show them around to others. We give them a quick briefing on what to say, and tell them if they get stumped to tell the person to just come find our table at the end. We keep back just enough leaflets to have every family we're supporting on show on that table - and then at the end, we'll just set up and ask for donations from people at the closing rally. Simple!
